Why Heron?
Born on the coast
Heron Supply Co. was born on the shores of the Bogue Banks in Eastern North Carolina. We love the water and everything on, in, and around it. We are the people of the shallows, just like the bird we are named after. Whether it is on the beach surfing, fishing in the marsh, or in the river chasing trout, we embrace the ability to adapt to new environments, and travel around the globe. If you like an oyster in the fall, the feel of a longboard beneath your feet, cold beer listening to live music, a trout eating a dry fly, or chasing fish in the marsh, come hang out with us and join the tribe!

We at Heron Supply have a passion for traveling and exploring. That is the reason we are just as at home on the beach of Costa Rica with a surfboard as we are hiking through Montana trout fishing. We hope you take us with you in your travels!
Adapting just like the mighty Heron
The Heron is a bird that is adaptable in nearly any environment on the globe. Patient, wise, and graceful, they stalk the shallows all over the world. We aspire to have the same traits as this majestic bird we are named after. We specialize in small batches, and with our art adapting as we go so keep coming back, you never know what you might find!
People of the Shallows
People of the Shallows isn't just our motto, it is something a little bit deeper than that. We are proud of our Eastern North Carolina roots. Having grown up on Hatteras Island, and our heritage rooting deeply Down East, we wanted something to commemorate the area we love. The People of the Shallows is an ode to the first people of the shallows, the Carolina Algonquian and Croatan Tribes of the Outer Banks. The first people to live off the water in our rich history of Eastern N.C. and the Outer Banks. What better people to model after than the first people to hunt and fish off our coast.
